Getting started...
Sunday July 15, 2018For this summer's bike trip, I decided stay close to home and include a bit of family in the process. The route would take myself, Highwaycat and Shirley straight south from Sardis BC to Sedro-Woolley WA, east through route 20 and the Cascade Mountains to Osoyoos BC. From there, I would ride the all too familiar Hope-Princeton Hwy. (#3 West) to Hope BC, then the #7 Hwy west, back to Sardis BC. I have lots of time for the distance involved, so there will be some shorter days and veg. time.
After spending a crazy amount of time packing and over thinking the trip, I loaded the internal combustion powered metal rectangle on 4 circles with gear, beer, bike and cat. We had a nice drive to my sister's abode in Sardis BC (beside Chilliwack BC). This was home base and my way of including a bit of the family in the process.
Hanging out with beers and a movie was a nice prelude to the ride ahead.
(Probably should of had fewer beers though, ha ha)
