Force Quit !!

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON OVER HERE IN NFLD  ??!!!!!!!
I thought that I saw the last of this weather way back in Golden BC !
Anyway...
I woke early, showered, packed up and was having the Breakfast Special down at "Ed's". I was on the road by 7:30 thinking that I would hit Gander today (about 170 km)  I was even thinking of my blog title referring to Gander. Well, it started out OK. Dark clouds cool temp and a little rain, but I had a Tailwind which was dandy. Down the TCH (trans Canada Highway), I had a morning greet from mister Moosey- Moose. Yup, she trudged her way out of the woods and was approaching the highway when I rolled up. I probably could've snapped a pic, but due to the cold July weather, I was wearing winter gloves and wouldn't be quick and efficient. She was clearly annoyed and turned back and dissapeared into the small evergreens. Damn that was cool.
So, it didn't take long before Mother Nature dropped the "Anvil of Despair" on my head. The winds picked up and hit me head on. The rain increased and it felt like winter had decended upon me. Crap !!
I was freezzing by the time that I had reached Grand Falls-Windsor. I found a crappy restaurant where I attempted to increase my core temperature by consuming hot food. It didn't work (I would have to take all my wet clothes off and I think that would not go over well)  This town is not exactly a place that I had in mind for visiting. Oh well, I found my way to the "Trailway Inn" and made it home as I was too cold to look around.  This hotel was an odd place. The outside had a creepiness to it, but the inside was clearly redecorated recently, nice. A super hot shower was in order.  This is July isn't it ???!!
Start the day off right... Greasy plate 'o' vittles

Morning road
Water
Summer home
Hotel OK, town is crap
Looks like "Hotel Evil", but is actually pretty nice inside with new designs and colours. There is a long ornate stairwell greeting visitors at the entrance. It's quite overpowering. I left my bike locked to a chair down in this entranceway. Luckily, it shares space with a Martial Arts Centre
Awesome

Weird room

Watching Scarface always relaxes me...
No Man, Tony Mantana, Man...
