It rained overnight and my netbook got a bit damp, but was OK. This was to be a short day.
I was planning on going to Chase - but I need bike stuff and to fix my shoe and update these annoying blogs... Oh, and beer and...
This day was very gaurded . I was spooked by yesterdays flats. I tried to maintain a road position as oppossed to a shoulder location. From a driver's point of view, it may appear that the shoulder is huge and very accommodating to any cyclist. In case you motorists were wondering, the shoulder is not what it may seem. It's a nasty environment that is sometimes occupied by "Tarmac Demons" spilled bags of "Acme" tacs and stacks of TNT. Put your cell phone down and leave the tripple pattie baconator cheeseroni burger on the passenger seat and have a closer look.
Anyway, a nice easy ride to red- neck ville.
I intended to fix some bike issues at the local Bike shops, but they were all closed!! I was pretty annoyed as Monday is the holiday, not sunday. I got a few things done though; Laundry, Beer, Pizza, charged electronics, and had a proper sleep. The "Thermarest" matress that I have is 15 years old and doesn't hold air anymore, so, sleeping is less than comfy. Downright tortourous actually. This motel bed is a tad nicer, AAAAAHH.
I tried to silicone the sole on my bike shoe, but will have to "Gorilla" tape it up again for that groovy hipster roady look that people are talking about these days. I have 3 tubes of "Shoe Goo" at home, but I thought that they would serve a better purpose in storage in their unopened state. Go figure...I bring "the kitchen sink" but not the "Shoe Goo".
Where the hell is Murphy ?... law.
I climbed for this ?
Hmmmm... Pass.
Cool sight. In the middle of nowhere, a miniature western town. Obviously a film prop.
