ONTARIO INVASION !!

Day 26, Whiteshell P.P. - Crystal Lake Campground
Dist, 147.8 avg 20.8km/hr, Saddle Time, 7:05
06 12 2011,
PROVINCE #5
Sunny, warm weather, a 7:30 start and great roads !  Loving this morning ride into beatiful Ontario. Snapped a few pics at the border, then, several km later I got careless with the camera, and WAMMO !!
Yup, I dropped it doing around 30km/hr. Actually surprised that it didn't happen sooner. When I arrived in Kenora, I hit the bank and the Subway for fuel. I attempted to bring my bike inside. The manager didn't like that too much. This was the first time in 3000km that I was told to keep Shirley outside.
Anyway, I picked up a $90.00 Kodak at the Kenora Walmart. I don't like to leave Shirley unattended for very long as theft would ruin me. I have a light gauge cable with a cheapish padlock to secure the bike. So, I lock up and zoom into the mall with my sensors dialled in to electronics.  I must've bin in and out in 5 minutes. Awesome.
`Its a better camera than the Samsung. Actually, The Samsung is a 4 year old camera that I bought in Ottawa for under $100.00, it served me very well indeed. I am not slamming Samsung.
As I headed to Dryden, I found the heat a bit much and my fluids were on "E". So I decided to try this "Crystal Lake Campground" 10 km west of Vermilion Bay (Not the same Crystal Lake as where Jason died I hope)
Before setting up, I wanted to check out the town for supplies. The owner discouraged me from riding on to town. She offered to drive me there and back. I just wanted to see what lay ahead. I guess she was afraid that I may find something better and change my mind. I like being close to town. Anyway, I stayed put and was fine. Strange as it was very quiet here.
I got a nice site overlooking the lake. I have my own dock too and an army of mosquitoes...
Ah, Hwy 1 again
HWC approved road
me acting giddy

Highwaycat invades Ontario...
We spent a lot of time at this sign
Too early for Government employees to start work. No need.

Loving this road

My last pic with this camera. Rocking the gloves eh ?
There is a gap in time here as I smashed my camera on the road shortly after this. For fun of coarse.

The road up to "Crystal Lk. Camp" I met the owner at the bottom of this hill. She was doing some maintenance on signage and said "Go on up"

A welcoming sign

Quaint, friendly signage telling me where I can set up
Acting childish for the new camera
