Wind Tunnel of Despair

Day 27, Dist, 159.6 km, Avg, 18.9 k/hr, Saddle Time, 8:25
Crystal Lake Camp. (10 k W. of Vermillion Bay) - Ignace (White Otter Inn)

06 13 2011,
Sunny, warm/hot day. Great road conditions, but plagued with a nasty Headwind again. From Dryden to Ignace, there are no services available. Nothing but road for 105 km. I stocked up in town. An extra 3 litres of water, some fruit and 2 sub sandwiches. I also carry an array of Power bars and Trail mix bars.
This was a beautiful stretch of road, but demorilizing due to wind. ( Where's my Jetstream ? !) I took 3 breaks (15 min ea.)
I was happy to enter Ignace. Not the nicest name in the world. "Where are you from, sir ?". "Well, thank you for asking, I reside in IGNACE !" Yuk.
I got a motel room, got beer and food for tonight and tomorrow's ride. I love arriving before 6 pm because some of these small towns shut're down early.
Also, I have intergoogle to update Blogs, and can watch the Canucks game. Sweet. I have no Cell service here, which is annoying.
Tomorrow will be a tough grind to Thunder Bay.
This Headwind is so frustrating, I hope I get a break. Tired of swearing at air.

Gotta go...
African Sasquatch ?
The lovely Dryden

In search of calories and info before the unservised route ahead
