A nice easy ride totally stress free. I was delayed in Campbelton at the bank. Hadn't seen a Scotiabank in many days. Turns out Quebec does things different than the rest of Canada. No surprise there.
I took the scenic route. (Hwy 134, Acadia Route) The road is a winding one with almost no traffic and a few very tiny towns following the Coast of Chaleur Bay. The weather was fine and improved as I continued. I had a bear encounter on the road. A small Black Bear (Brian) wandered out of the forest and onto the road about 25 feet from me. We both just froze for about 10 seconds and he turned and slowly walked back into he trees.
I stopped in Jacquet River. A nothing town, but it had a nice looking restaurant. There was nobody inside which should have bin a red flag. It was crappy, and wasted a retarded amount of my time.
When I got to Bathurst, I went to the ? for some advice. I met a cheering squad here. A family was excited to learn about my trip, so we exchanged pics. They made me a tad uncomfortable, so I rolled on...
Turns out that the campground that I had in mind was closed and the closest one was around 6 km back. Rule #1, NEVER GO BACK !
I passed a couple low key motels on the way in to town, but hit the Comfort Inn which was near important tools like Beer and Food.
The front desk guy resembled an OOMPHA-LOOMPHA. goof
Looking back at Quebec with mixed feelings, yet ecstatic about entering N.B. and crossing yet another Province off the list.
Leaving Campbelton Tourist Center, Big Fish

I try to do a routine maintanance check of moveable parts and friction points. My bottle cage was secretly preparing to "Jump Ship", luckilly, I foilled the mission... P.S.-note the lovely new Giro bike glove(s) that I got back in Ottawa, Stylish !
Quebec and New Brunswick have millions of these facilities. People Praying and Dieing...Campgrounds for the rotting... Ya perhaps, but true nonetheless.
Should've put Highwaycat on top to indicate the scale of this "OOMPHA-LOOMPHAA House.
People with idle hands here. It was about 2 ft. long and 1 ft. high. Funny as hell.
Local musician. She's very talented
Some people have bin here a while...
The contrast between the brilliant green lawn and the decrepit abode was worth a pic.
Should've noticed the "OP" sign. bad lunch stop. Nothing else around though...
This guy tried to nab me with his "Bike Grabber"tool.
Like I said before, idle hands...
I thought that my sister might like this one...
There can't be more than 500 people in this town, funny. Ya have to be here to understand, I guess.
