A fine riding day indeed. Hot, sunny and wind at my rear with the occasional smack in the face for good measure. I opted for the Hammer Route instead of the Scenic "Are we there yet ?" route. This was a direct path to Miramichi through a veritable highway no mans land of sorts. (#8). The #11 followed the shoreline but was too long for this day, besides I've seen a plenty shoreness.
I was told that there were some funky things here in Miramichi, but I only had time for lunch, guess where ?... Subway. Hey, I know what I'm getting, I can watch Shirley and theres no tip, so there !
After a bit of confusion, I picked up the 11 and motored down to Saint-Louis-De-Kent where I found an ideal spot at the Daigle Municipal Campground. $22.00, showers, wi fi , mosquitos and near town.
Would've bin cool to ride on, but I would just end up at another Motel. Stopping here wasn't a big loss in kilometers, but sometimes it's a trade off between time and distance. (who am I kidding, it's a constant struggle). Highwaycat tries to make sense of it all.
HWC heads out
Not before loading up on fuel. I don't know that guy. Morning swagger.
Some nasty industrial vistas leaving town. Dismantling something evil...
eennie meenie minnie ... 8
Straight and true and all for you. A desolate road fit for hammering.
What a damn shame. heh heh heh (no help for miles too)
I didn't know that there was a gas station around the corner, but I needed a break from this uninterrupted Hammer session. N.C.B. ? National Cat Bureau .
Break Time.,
Dilapidated picnic site. Highwaycat was furious. Not a flower in site. "Overgrown Dog Hair !" she said.
"Ive had it with your trivial blasted foolishness and careless task minding skills !"
Happycat
Stop to look at forest. Yup, thems trees
Thems trees. No humans...Perfect.
Another sign
Crossing the Miramichi River was crappy. I had to walk Shirley as the cross winds were Nasty. Very Nasty !
Downtown Miramichi, cars like everywhere else on this continent.
Ferry service delayed...
Campground. Do I require a family ? Me and HWC are family...
International sign of approval.
Ya
Not enough room dammitt !
Artisan at work...Note the serious facial expression... Mosquitos were brutal here, reason enough for a fire ...
And BEER....Duh (I made it from leaves, sticks and beetles that were not yet drained by mosquitos, then I smashed equal portions of mosquitos to drain the key element for a fine brew... blood)
Tooling around

Proper campsite behaviour. Except the shorts...
Highwaycat doesn't get it, yet is lured by it.
