I was up early this morn. (5:30). but there was no rain. I guess it's waiting for me. I packed up very slowly and meticulously partly because I was waiting for the " Wi Fi lounge" to open. It didn't, so I was gone. The Thrashing began as I left the park. A serious thunderstorm was underway. I went to the Visitors Centre for some intel, Nice lady thought I was nuts to ride to Swift Current and advised against it. I told her that I would much rather ride a storm with a tailwind than a sunny day with a headwind.
The rain cleared after 1.5 hours and I stopped at a gas station in a nothing town "Tompkins".
I met an older cyclist there. He mustve bin 70 years old. This Old Timer was headed to Moose Jaw for " work " He said that he waited out the headwinds yesterday in a shack. I wonder how he is doing, people do amazing things to survive. I wish I took his photo...
Iv'e seen the odd person walking the highway. It always baffles me to see a person walking a highway in the middle of no where. Creepy and concerning.
I stopped again for Gatorade and junk at "Gull Lake' While washing my hands in the wasroom, I was overcrowded by "Cowboy Billy Bob Fat Ass Redneck Goof" (That's his real name) I wanted to ask him if I was in HIS way. I saw him again outside near my bike. He stood silent looking away from me. As I unlocked Shirley, he turned slowly towards me and said, "Yer Gonna Git Moist "
What a Goof ! I said that Ive bin through much worse. I shouldn't have acknowledged his presence.
Where were my cowboy jokes when I need them ? Goof.

I arrived at the best Western just before the second storm front came in. Nice

While here I can take care of a few things : pay my Shaw Bill, Get some meds for my dried and cracked fingers, do laundry, also my ass needs some pamperin. (it rocks though)
